Hair loss is a major problem that many people face during the later part of one's life. However, hair loss problems can come too soon as to affect your personal, as well as professional life. Even though they might sometimes happen due to natural reasons, but there are many other instances that might leave you bald for the rest of your life:

Sometimes androgenetic alopecia, also known as male pattern baldness, can cause permanent loss of hair in men.

Certain injuries can also create wounds on the scalp that may make the scalp infertile of growing hair. This includes a lot of accidents ranging from burns, scalds, a certain kind of surgery that includes shaving off hair, might leave the scalp damaged and even car accidents may cause head injuries that may lead to permanent hair loss of the victim.

Hair Loss SurgeryHair grafting is a procedure where hair-growing skin from one part of the scalp is transplanted to the bald or the thinning areas of the scalp and the hair are left to grow. There is a list of norms, that one needs to follow, will eventually lead to a successful hair-transplant surgery.

i) Other diseases: If one has diabetes or such other  diseases, which may cause problems in having one's body operated, it is best to take a few sessions with your physician or doctor and perform a few tests if he advises you to do so. Having such diseases may cause the marks and the stitches of the operations to remain fresh overtime and delay the entire healing process. So, if that happens to be the scenario then it is highly advisable not to undergo such operation unless it is totally necessary.

ii) Hair:  Even though there is very less that you can do about it, other than maintaining and applying serums and conditioners on your remaining hair to keep it thick and dense so that the chances of your having a successful surgery is kept high at least from your side. The results of the surgery will be a lot better if your hair are thicker and denser.

iii) Color: Dark colored, thick hair will not prove to be a good specimen for a transplant. On the contrary thick, light colored hair can prove to be a much better specimen and work as a better medium for the transplant.

iv) Time: Even after the transplantation, you need to give the hair a lot of time to start growing. It can even take 9 months or more for the hair begins to fill in.

v) Pocket-pinch: Being a cosmetic surgery, hair transplants can be very costly. They can actually cost you a fortune. Therefore, it is better to check in with your insurance agent about hair transplanting is being covered by your policy as it is sometimes considered a reconstructive treatment.

Smoking can also affect your surgery. Also, it is a good idea to spend some time behind finding the right medical practitioner for the hair transplant surgery as you would not want to end up having no hair left on your head rather than whatever hair you had initially.
